FAQ

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

If you have private health fund or paying out of pocket, you DO NOT need a referral to see a dietitian.

If you wish to claim rebate from Medicare, you NEED a referral from your GP. With some chronic conditions (e.g. Diabetes, Arthritis, IBS, Hypertension, High Cholesterol, PCOS, etc), your GP can refer you through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Care Plan (also called ECP), and you will be entitled to 5 dietitian consultations per calendar year. Patients under a CDM/ ECP plan are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $54.60 for each consultation.

When do I pay?

Full payment is required prior to the start of telehealth consults, or on the day of in-person consults.

Do you bulk-bill?

Yes and no.

For EZ Dietitian telehealth consultations, we do not bulkbill, however, we can provide you with an invoice after your consultation, and you can easily claim your rebate online.

For physical appointment at Myhealth Medical Centres, bulk-billing is available if you have a referral from your GP (gap fee only apply for the initial consultation at Myhealth Chermside).

How do I pay?
